This is a quick note to report to everyone a very successful Trailwalker 2009 -- a long journey -- which started in Odawara on the 22nd ended 9:30am on Sunday morning.
We would like to thank all participants, support crew, all volunteers who worked on and behind the scenes, and all the cooperation we have received from the local communities.

There has been reported case of swine flu in Tokyo and Kanagawa – however, we will be carrying on with Oxfam Trailwalker Japan as scheduled.
In order to prevent the flu from spreading, we ask the participants to bring their own masks and wear them whenever possible.

200 teams started Shiroyama Track and Field and 164 teams completed 100km (It includes participants who completed but not in teams of four) and 93 of them completed in teams of four!Congratulations!

As the deadline for applying to take part in Oxfam Trailwalker nears there is just place for 5 more teams. Even if there is not 4 members yet as long registration is still possible eith the team leader's details. The dead line is the registration of the 200th teams. Hurry!
The orientation program will be held in English at JICA Global Plaza ( 3F), on Tuesday 22nd April at 7pm (Same session in Japanese will be held at same place on Tuesday, 17th April at 7pm). We will explain about the way of registration, withdrawing from the event and so on. Please attend with your team members and support crew. If you wish to attend, please contact us before 18th April 2008.
During the event, support crew can access each check points (except, CP1 and CP5), but they need parking permit then. We will issue one parking permit per team. Please contact us from 7th April to 30th April if you need the parking permit. We will send to team leader by post later. Please do not forget the parking during the event!!

Please read carefully to know what happen in Sudan and how the donation makes a difference to the situation there. Please introduce this letter to your sponsors. From Ahigara Manyo-Park in Oyama-cho (an area between CP 6 and 7) to the summit of Mt. Mikuni (between CP8 and the goal), hunters are out to hunt animals which may cause agricultural damage and other problems almost every weekend and sound of gunshot can be heard. The people responsible for operations in this training area ask that you take the below precautionary steps in order to prevent incident.
*Make sure you wear bright or easily detectable color clothes.
*Ring a bell as you walk
*If you see a hunting do, keep a distance.
